Diy rope rug we ve built our house from scratch and had to move in when it was half way finished. I d been looking for a natural creamy coloured rug but couldn t find one i liked. This craft project comes from everyday art and is an adorable way to spruce up a bedroom. Previously i had been addicted to a type of rope called cotton sash cord and loved making trays and baskets so i already had the rope and a hot glue gun with packs of glue sticks.

I also used an old fitted sheet for the bottom of the rug but you can use any type of fabric sheet or rubber backing to make it non slip.
